Update on SSC CHSL 2021 Exam
The dates provided above are subject to the prevailing conditions of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and governmental guidelines. It is important for all candidates to monitor the official SSC website for any updates that may be issued from time to time. An official statement has not yet been released regarding the cancellation or delay of the SSC CHSL 2021 exam.Reasons for Speculation of Exam Delay
Despite the official date release, there is a reason to speculate that the SSC CHSL 2021 exam might still be delayed. Here are the primary reasons for this speculation: Peak of COVID-19 Wave 2: Reports and data suggest that the second wave of the pandemic will peak in the third and fourth weeks of May. Considering the ongoing health crisis and high number of active cases, conducting exams is not feasible at the moment. Notably, if the data on active cases being reported is accurate, there are more than 30 lakh active cases per day. Such conditions make it unavoidable to shift the exam schedule. Twitter Campaigns and Social Media Pressure: Earlier this month, when all other competitive exams and board exams were being postponed, the SSC remained firm in completing the CHSL prelims. SSC candidates, however, launched a large-scale Twitter campaign which ultimately led to the postponement of the CHSL prelims. It is anticipated that similar campaigns could influence future plans of SSC.Advice for Aspirants
