The Best Moments of My School Life at WKWSCI: Reflections and Memories

During my time at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI), I experienced a range of delightful and memorable moments that have stayed with me. These experiences were not only enjoyable but also deeply enriching, offering valuable lessons and lifelong friendships.

Sharing Meals and Moments with Friends

One of the most cherished moments at WKWSCI was sitting together at the benches during lunch. These moments were truly wholesome and comforting. Walking around, I would frequently see friendly faces, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and belonging. When we were just a few months into our journey, these interactions laid the foundation for a strong support network.

Witnessing and Participating in Theme Week

Being a part of, or even just observing, Theme Week at WKWSCI is a fantastic experience. This event showcases the creative talents and spirits of the students. During the Off The Runway theme, I saw classmates dressed as models, and some were portraying air traffic controllers or even a literal red carpet. The diversity and creativity in these outfits reflected the vibrant and dynamic community at WKWSCI.

After attending an impactful lecture, I would often walk out feeling enlightened and inspired. A particularly memorable class was an Intercultural Communication course. The lectures and discussions were not just informative but also thought-provoking, offering new perspectives and deepening my understanding of the world.

Community Engagement and Leadership

One of the shining moments of my school life occurred when a friend was running for a position within the Communication and Information Club. To support his campaign, he set up a Bandung booth and distributed stickers he designed. Almost everyone from my orientation group pitched in, whether by preparing drinks or handing out stickers. The unity and support displayed during this time were incredibly heartening, especially for someone still finding their feet in a new environment.

Another memorable moment took place during a Theme Week contest. Dressing up with my freshmen friends, we submitted an entry and were fortunate enough to win. This experience was profoundly meaningful because it highlighted the sense of community and teamwork. It was a reminder that friendships and collaborations can flourish even when there isn’t a shared course or class schedule.

Ultimately, these moments encapsulate the spirit and value of my time at WKWSCI. They represent the blend of friendly camaraderie, intellectual exploration, and community spirit that made my university experience truly rewarding.
