Note: When we arrived in 1996, we were staying in Normanby House in Clayton, a dormitory near campus. A few months later, a few of us Malaysian students decided it was cheaper and more fun to rent a place of our own. So we rented a 4-bedroom house nearby and lived in it for a year, splitting the bills equally. Most of these places will be available near campuses, as many students choose to rent their own places.
