Preparing for NEET 2022: Essential Physics Books and Resources
Throughout my preparation for the NEET 2022 (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test), I focused on building a strong foundation and understanding of physics concepts. Textbooks like NCERT and coaching material were instrumental in clearing my doubts and concepts. However, the key to my success lay in the systematic and targeted approach to question practice.
Conceptual Clarity and Textbook Focus
Initially, I relied on NCERT textbooks and coaching lessons to grasp the fundamental concepts of physics. These resources are essential for building a strong base as they cover all the necessary topics comprehensively. Clearing concepts from NCERT and following the guidance of coaching teachers ensured that I had a solid understanding of the subject matter.
Question Practice: The Key to Success
Once the concepts were clear, the next step was to focus on question practice. Solving previous year questions (PYQs) and using modules from reputable sources is critical for success in NEET. My approach involved targeting questions from the last 15 years and referring to Allen modules. It's important to note that while solving PYQs and Allen modules, you should prioritize those sources and avoid over-relying on NCERT exercises, which are often repetitive and less challenging.
Recommending Physics Books for NEET
Based on personal experience, here are some books that stand out for NEET physics preparation:
1. MTG Fingertips Class 11 12
Essential for quick revisions and reinforcing concepts, this book is highly recommended for consolidating knowledge.
2. DC Pandey NEET Objective Physics
A well-structured book with plenty of questions and objective approach, making it a great resource for NEET preparation.
3. Solve Your Coaching Modules
These module books from coaching institutes provide comprehensive practice and help in identifying weak areas.
4. The Bible Book: NCERT Physics Class 11 12
NCERT is a must-read, but it's important to revise it regularly and solve relevant questions from supplementary sources like MCQ books.
5. MTG 36 Years Topic-Wise Questions
Compiling a collection of previous year questions is crucial. This book from MTG is a treasure trove for practice.
Additional Resources and Tips
Beyond books, taking notes during classes and maintaining regular practice of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) is essential. I found that making notes and solving daily MCQs from books like MTG and publications such as Dishant, Arihant, and Universal helped a lot. Regular revision is key to retaining knowledge and improving test-taking skills.
Online Resources and Tutoring
Besides books, online resources and tutoring can provide additional support. For instance, the NEET Physics Kota Coaching center, led by experienced teacher Prashant sir, has been invaluable. Their YouTube channel, NEET Physics Kota, is an excellent resource for both free and paid courses.
I personally found the C P Singh book highly beneficial, and the P W Lectures were a lifesaver. Regularly solving questions and revising weak areas repeatedly is crucial for achieving a good score in NEET.
Remember, consistency is key in NEET preparation. Regular practice, review, and a disciplined approach will greatly improve your chances of success. Good luck!
