How Would God Rewrite the Bible if He Wanted To?
Imagine if God snapped His metaphorical fingers, and the Bible was rewritten in an instant. Would He make such a monumental task, or is the current form sufficient to convey God's message?
According to divine revelation, studying and meditating on the Bible is essential for both disciples of the Old and New Covenant. In the New Covenant, the Son is the Teacher, and this Teacher is accessible to believers as the Holy Spirit. The Son leads believers to the New Earth, emphasizing that the Scriptures are not meant for those who ignore or reject God's instructions. This divine protection against the 2nd Death, eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire, underscores God's intention to preserve the truth of His word.
The Unchanging Truth of God
God’s truth cannot be rewritten. The Bible contains eternal truths that will stand the test of time. As Isaiah 40:8 states, 'The grass withers and the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.'
Augmenting the Holy Spirit
Instead of rewriting the Bible, God teaches us to augment the Holy Spirit within us. By doing so, we can experience the eternal version of the living Bible and all its counterparts and volumes. Each step in this process is crucial for spiritual growth and understanding.
Supernatural Rewriting and Divine Power
For a typical believer, the act of God creating the universe seems much more significant than rewriting the Bible. In the grand scheme of divine power, changing the words on paper appears trivial. However, the Bible has so many errors, contradictions, and moral ambiguities that many wonder why God hasn't corrected them yet.
The Complexity of Revelation
Man wrote the Bible, and if God were to rewrite it, numerous issues would arise. Which language would the corrected version be in? How would one prove the authenticity of the new text? Would it align with scientific accuracy? These questions highlight the complexity of divine revelation.
A Timely Call for Divine Action
Making a case for a supernatural rewriting of the Bible, I suggest it would be a clear demonstration of divine power. This could be achieved in three passes:
Pass One: Remove all self-contradictions. Pass Two: Remove all factual errors. Pass Three: Remove all repugnant moral values. Not only would this make the Bible error-free and easier to believe, but it would also be much smaller in size. We could call it 'God’s Pocket Edition."
Ultimately, the idea of God rewriting the Bible invites believers to reflect on the importance of the holy texts in their lives and the divine work of the Holy Spirit in guiding us.
