Hi, I am a resident of Jhanjeri campus, and I'd like to share my experience with the hostel food at Parul University. Although the university offers many facilities, the most talked-about aspect is the quality of the food served in the mess. Many of my friends are also hostel residents, and they are highly satisfied with the meals provided.

Delicious and Nutritious Meals

The food offered in the hostel mess is quite delicious and nutritious, ensuring the well-being and overall satisfaction of students. The meals are appetizing and healthy, providing multiple options for students to choose from. Each meal is well-cooked and flavorful, with a good variety in the menu. The mess staff and faculty often visit to inspect the quality, hygiene, nutritional value of the food, and seriously consider student feedback to enhance the quality.

Standards and Feedback

Hostel management maintains commendable standards, and the majority of residents are satisfied with the food quality and variety. Cleanliness and staff behavior also receive positive feedback. As a hostelite, I have visited the mess occasionally and can attest to the wide variety of meals available. The mess serves a proper Gujarati thali with two types of sabji and daal for lunch, along with roti, rice, salad, papad, chhass, and fries. For dinner, they serve a diverse menu, including various Gujarati special dishes such as daal bati, idli, and sambhar. The food is generally good and edible, catering to different tastes.

Addressing Criticisms

Some individuals question the quality of the food, but it's important to understand that every individual has different taste preferences. Some might prefer spicy food, while others might prefer a little sweeter or less spicy meals. The mess tries to accommodate these diverse tastes and offers a balanced menu. Additionally, hosting students from all over the country makes it challenging to provide food exactly as everyone desires, but the mess does its best to cater to most preferences. It is disheartening to see food being wasted when it is of good quality.
