Among the science faculty, the Muir College is a notable part of the university. The teaching staff here includes guest faculty members and research scholars. While a few are excellent, many do not deliver the quality expected. The professors, though distinguished, are not present in sufficient numbers, leading to a need for more detailed explanations to students. The physics lab is in need of new apparatus as most of the current ones are old and dysfunctional. There is a dearth of seminars and workshops related to science and technology, which could be improved for enhancing student engagement in these fields.

Exam Pattern and Student Life

The university follows a yearly exam pattern, which can be less stringent, allowing students to become a little complacent. However, for those truly passionate, the learning opportunities are extensive. Students are encouraged to ask more questions and interact with professors. Some professors can be demanding, but they should strive to balance their teaching approaches. The library is an excellent resource with a vast collection of books, though students often create noise, detracting from this valuable resource. Regular attendance is an issue for some, but overall, students have ample free time to utilize for self-study.

The state government and the university administration should focus on improving the university's condition and rekindle its glory as the 'Oxford of the East'. Efforts should be made to bring back the quality of education, improve infrastructure, and foster a conducive learning environment.
